Lõke (“the Fire”–Estonian singing group) was established in 1997 and promotes Estonian culture through song. The group’s repertoire encompasses both traditional and contemporary Estonian music, including early runic tunes and their popular modern interpretations, songs from the regional folk tradition of Estonia, sacred songs from the Estonian Christian tradition and contemporary songs written by local composers. The singing group rehearse every Monday night from 18:30-19:30, and everyone is welcome.

The choir, Hapukoor (direct translation: Sour cream) has been up and running again since the 2010 Adelaide Estonian Festival.

A dedicated group of people meet up regularly to join in Estonian songs.
